This is one sizzling hot story! From the first story I was hooked on Samantha and Ryan. I just can't wait for their next hot lunch time adventure! I had been waiting with bated breath for this story and ER did not disappoint! This story is just as hot as the one before, if not HOTTER! Fantastic read for a lunch time break although I'll warn you it will make you want to run home for a little afternoon fun. ER does a great job at leaving the readers wanting MORE! Keep it up ER! I can't wait to read more of Samantha and Ryan's lunch time fun!
My Review This is the next installment of the Hot Lunch series that I started reading a couple of months ago. I love that it is short enough to read when I need a quick break from work, chores and the munchkin. It has just the right amount of steam. While it is a short installment, it has so much depth to the story, you don't feel like you are missing anything. Both Ryan and Sam are well developed characters and we get to learn a little more about their pasts in Hot or Cold. But a little warning for you, this one has a huge cliffhanger!! Thank goodness that the next Hot Lunch installment comes out soon!!
My Rating I loved Hot or Cold just as much, if not more than, Eating Out. I got to get a little of the backstory that I was craving and now am so anxious to read the next installment! I give it a rating of Four Paws and a Stump Wag!
I have to say that I am loving this series!! I think what I love best about this serial is that while the books are short-about 15 pages, there is a lot of character development that you just don't always get when a story is that short. In book one, (you can find my review here) we got to meet Samantha and Ryan. In this book, their relationship continues, and Ryan is still calling the shots, but Samantha wants him to be the one to lose control for a change.
There were a lot of steamy scenes, but what I loved most is along with those there was a lot of character development between Samantha and Ryan. We're beginning to learn what has made the two of them the way they are and why they both have relationship issues. There were a few times when I just wanted to give Ryan a hug. I loved learning more about him and I can't wait to see how their relationship continues to grow into more then just hot sex. The ending of the book left me wanting volume three right now!!
This series by ER Pierce is just a steamy, light, fantastic read!
I love this series!!! I am going bonkers waiting to find out what happens when Ryan wakes up! I'm curious to see where this relationship will end up!
Although too short for my preferred kind of books, I like the story setting ... just anxious to read more, very intriguing.
My Thoughts
Hey! What in tarnation happened?!? The story ended at 50% on my with excerpts taking up the rest of the book length. Not happy because I wanted a bit more story. I was shaking my like it was magically give up the rest of the story. *LOL* I'll stay tuned for the final book in the series since Pierce promises a longer book for that one.
