This book is the first one I have read by Diana Sweeney and it I would be anxious to get more books by her. When I started reading the book, I thought it was too predictable, but then it didn't end at all like I expected, so I guess that is what I get for thinking it was predictable! About halfway through I couldn't put it down, I even opened my kindle to keep reading on the elevator ride up to my apartment!Product details

I enjoyed reading this book. I am not usually a fan of books with magic in them, but the magic portion of this book was tastefully done and the characters in the 2nd part were so creative (I won't say too much because I don't want to write a spoiler!) This book is good to read just to relax, its a quick read.
I really enjoyed the storyline, there were parts of it that I thought were just adorable. However, I think if this book were to go through a couple more rounds of edits, it would be even better. Sometimes the tenses were inconsistent and there were a few minor errors with mixed up details. Also, with the way the story was written, I got the impression it was from a time long long ago, however there were certain words/phrases that brought me out of the book for a moment and made me wonder "they wouldn't say that back then, would they". Bridezillas is the first thing that comes to mind. Other than that I loved the conclusion as I'm a sucker for happy endings. Endings in general really make the book for me and I was quite happy with this one. It was a quick read with lots of endearing twists. I felt interested in the main character and wanted to keep reading to know what would happen which is always a good sign. I would recommend it.

I loved the flash back component of this book literally finished it in one sitting. I laughed, I feared, I cried, I loved. Such a well written story. I can see myself as Mina. (Fantasy world)
